Memorial Day Weekend

This past Memorial Day weekend was a wonderful start to the summer festivities. We drove up north and stayed with Peter's Mom & Dad through Sunday evening. The weather was in the 80s on Saturday and almost reached 90 degrees on Sunday (a huge difference from last year's cold temperatures)! Shockingly, Mullett Lake was very warm and so refreshing that on Sunday I even swam from "the middle of the lake" back to the house (this measurement came from Jenna; it may be a slight overestimation). We went on some boat rides, swam, and relaxed with family. I'm very happy we changed our plans for the weekend and headed north!

Playing with Jenna's DSL

Olivia had fun playing with Uncle Stu's grandkids!

On our first boat ride of the weekend, Grandpa Bos took Jenna, Olivia, and me around the lake with Aunt Mary and Eric's family.

Olivia and I enjoying the sun and lake air.

Olivia driving the boat with Bos. I think we were actually stopped out on Mullett Lake.

Jenna took a turn behind the wheel. She, actually, did take us on a boat ride.

Even Grandpa Bos was in the water!

Splashing around with Daddy & Jenna.

Daddy went with us on the boat ride to get the mail.

Jenna drove us along with the Vallier & Carey families to get the mail.

After a few tries, Peter was successful in docking the boat with the rope lasso.

Jenna tries out the toddler swing.

Smelling her flower on the way back from getting the mail.

Jenna takes a plunge off the boat! She swam home from "the middle of the lake."

Can you see Jenna out there swimming?

I can see her now that the camera is completely zoomed in!

"Coke, pease?" Olivia enjoying some diet Vernors with Grandpa. Olivia calls all pop drinks "coke".

Watching iCarly together.

On Sunday, the temperature almost reached 90 degrees!

Lounging before Sunday's dinner.
